Front Fender Bra
If you don’t see a photo below of a bike similar to the one you ride, that does not mean I don’t have the pattern for your bike’s front fender. I make a Front Fender Bra (FFBra) for almost all bikes. It is very rare when I get a call from a customer and I don’t have the pattern for their bike.
As with all my accessories, the FFBra itself is crafted from high quality leather. The use of leather allows the FFBra to breath, without trapping moisture underneath. Vinyl Car Bras heat up and stretch in the warm sun and then they start flapping and ruining your paint. That won’t happen with my leather FFBra. The leather FFBra will be stretched tightly over the front fender. Then it will shrink up very tight and stay tight regardless of the weather. The attachment system is the same High-Tech Hook and Loop System I use for my Mud Flaps. It is some of the best Hook and Loop in the World. I don’t know of any store where you can buy it. In fact, it was originally designed for use by The Aviation and Aerospace Industry and is a “Special Order” item. Velcro USA (the inventor) won’t even start up their machines to make this stuff for an order of less than 1,500 meters (about one mile) in length. As you may guess, it’s fairly expensive but I special order it from a business acquaintance in Texas, who makes purchases for corporations working in The Aviation and Aerospace Industry. A 100% Polyester Adhesive Backed Hook Strip is attached around the underside edge of the fender. The Polyester Hook Strip is 100% Waterproof. It won’t creep or shrink and its’ operating temperature is minus 45 degrees (-45) to plus 185 degrees (+185) Fahrenheit. The Loop Strip is sewn around the edge of the FFBra with heavy-duty Thread. Opening and closing is rated at 500 openings. After the initial installation, the FFBra can be quickly removed (takes about 15-seconds) and none of the Hook and Loop Mounting System is visible. Putting the FFBra back on is just about as easy as removing it and takes only about a minute. When I’m running around town on my bike I sometimes take the FFBra off but when I go on a Roadtrip I always have it on for protection.
Your FFBra can be ordered in the sizes indicated for the below listed motorcycle makes and it can be ordered with or without Chrome Plated Brass Studs/Spots spaced evenly across the trailing rear edge (usually nine Studs/Spots but the actual number will be dictated by the size of your front fender).
SMALL FFBra covers approx. 5 1/2” of frontal coverage and is priced at $60.00 for Plain.
MEDIUM FFBra covers approx. 7” of frontal coverage and is priced at $70.00 for Plain.
LARGE FFBra covers approx. 9” of frontal coverage and is priced at $80.00 for Plain.
EXTRA-LARGE covers approx. 11” of frontal coverage and is priced at $90.00 for Plain.
To add Chrome Plated Studs/Spots across the trailing edge (spacing is at one-inch on center, which usually results in seven Studs or less for a small fender, nine Studs for an average size fender and eleven or more Studs for a fairly large fender), add $10.00 to the price of a Plain FFBra for Studs.
